DAY 1

Depart Nairobi city centre early in the morning, heading southwest towards the legendary Masai Mara. En route, make a scenic stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, offering sweeping panoramic views across the valley floor below. Continue the drive and arrive at Mara Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. Spend the afternoon at leisure, soaking in the bush atmosphere and the comfort of your midrange lodge surroundings. An optional afternoon game drive is available for those eager to start exploring the reserve (park fees payable direct). As the African sun dips below the horizon, enjoy a delicious dinner and your first night in the Mara. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.

DAY 2

Full Day Masai Mara Game Drive

An early wake-up call signals the start of your Mara adventure. Enjoy breakfast before heading out for a full day game drive across one of Africa's most celebrated wildlife reserves. Armed with packed picnic lunches to maximise time in the bush, explore the Mara's vast open plains, acacia woodlands, and riverine forests in search of the Big Five. Visit the iconic Mara River, home to resident hippo pods and massive Nile crocodiles. Between July and October, the Great Wildebeest Migration transforms the Mara into one of nature's greatest spectacles. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon for dinner and a restful night. DAY 3

Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha

After an early breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive through the Masai Mara before checking out of Mara Sopa Lodge. Depart and drive north towards the Great Rift Valley, with a lunch stop en route. Arrive at the tranquil shores of Lake Naivasha, a freshwater haven fringed by yellow fever trees and papyrus reeds. Check in at Lake Naivasha Resort and spend the afternoon at leisure. Opt for a guided boat ride on the lake to spot hippos, fish eagles, and a rich variety of waterbirds at close range (payable direct). As the evening settles over the lake, enjoy a peaceful dinner with the sounds of nature all around. Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Resort.

DAY 4

Lake Naivasha – Nairobi

Rise early for a leisurely breakfast and a final dose of Naivasha's natural beauty. Before departing, enjoy an optional morning activity — a guided nature walk on Crescent Island, a cycling excursion through the surrounding farmlands, or a relaxed lakeside stroll to catch the morning birdlife (all payable direct). Check out and drive back to Nairobi, arriving at the city centre drop-off point in the early afternoon. Your 4-day Rift Valley safari comes to a close, leaving you with memories of wildlife, flamingos, hippos, and Africa's breathtaking landscapes to carry home.
