DAY 1

Arrival in Kampala

Your tour starts in Kampala. After arriving and checking into your hotel, begin your afternoon with a delightful lunch at a local restaurant. In the evening we’ll embark on a Buganda cultural tour and a visit to the Kabaka’s Palace. The tour starts with a visit to the magnificent Kabaka's Palace, the official residence of the king of Buganda, take in the grandeur of the palace's architecture and delve into the fascinating history of the Buganda Kingdom as you explore the royal burial grounds and learn about the customs and rituals associated with Buganda royalty.

We will then move on to the Buganda Royal Mile, a historic and culturally rich stretch in Kampala, Uganda, characterized with totems representing each clan. The stretch connects the Kabaka's Palace to Bulange, Mengo, which houses Buganda Kingdom’s ‘lukiiko’ (parliament), offices for the Kabaka (king) and Katikiro (Prime minister). This experience gives you a deeper understanding and connection to Buganda Kingdom’s legacy. At the end of the evening, you could opt to dive into Kampala's vibrant nightlife, where the city's energy transforms as the sun sets. Popular spots like Bandali Rise in Bugolobi offer a variety of bars and restaurants, often showcasing live music and a lively atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a refreshing drink or a delicious meal with friends. Acacia Avenue, known for its upscale venues, features trendy lounges and clubs that attract both locals and visitors. DAY 2

Kampala to Jinja

On day 2 along the way to Jinja, you will en route to Ewaffe Cultural Village, a cultural center, located an hour away from Kampala. It showcases Ugandan culture and heritage and offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore traditional crafts, music and dance.

The center often features workshops where guests can engage in local art forms, learn about traditional customs, and participate in cultural performances. It's an enriching stop for those looking to gain a deeper understanding of Uganda's cultural diversity while enjoying a welcoming atmosphere. Jinja is a vibrant city in eastern Uganda, perched on the northern shores of Lake Victoria where the Nile River begins its epic 6,650 km journey to the Mediterranean Sea—hence its nickname as the "Source of the Nile." Founded in 1907 during British colonial times, it was once Uganda's industrial hub, thanks to developments like the Owen Falls Dam (now Nalubaale Power Station) built in the 1940s, which powered economic growth.

Today, it's rebranded as the "Adventure Capital of Uganda," drawing thrill-seekers with activities like white-water rafting, bungee jumping over the Nile, quad biking, horse riding safaris, sport fishing, and scenic boat or walking tours where you can spot exotic wildlife too, from colorful birds like turacos and fish eagles to otters and monitor lizards along the riverbanks.

DAY 3

Jinja

On day three, enjoy a Jinja City tour blending historical sites, cultural immersion, and local flavors. One of its main attractions is the railway station, a historical site reflecting the colonial past of Uganda. Visiting the railway station, you’ll notice the architectural style and perhaps some remnants of old locomotives, offering a glimpse into Jinja's transport history.

It’s a popular spot for photographs and is often appreciated by history enthusiasts. Jinja also offers activities like bungee jumping where you feel the adrenaline rush as you jump off the Adrift bungee tower overlooking the Kalagala Falls on the mighty River Nile, tubing on the Nile which offers a thrilling adventure as you float over a mix of calm waters and subtle rapids and take a boat cruise upriver with the opportunity to visit the 'Source of the Nile' now at the bottom of the 'Owen Falls Dam.
