After an early breakfast, set out for a full day of uninterrupted wildlife viewing across the expansive plains of the Masai Mara — one of Africa’s most celebrated ecosystems.
Spend your day tracking the Big Five (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and leopard), as well as a stunning array of other wildlife including topi, gazelles, ostriches, hyenas, and jackals. You’ll follow winding game tracks that lead to prime wildlife hotspots, with one key stop at the Mara River — a natural border where hippos bask and crocodiles patrol the waters.
If your visit coincides with the Great Wildebeest Migration (typically between July and October), you may witness the awe-inspiring river crossings — a raw, real-time spectacle of survival and instinct. Few safari moments compare.
Midday, enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of the bush, surrounded by nature’s sounds and sights. Afterward, continue exploring until the sun sets over the plains.
You may choose to enhance your experience with an optional visit to a local Maasai village ($10 per person), offering a cultural encounter with one of East Africa’s most iconic tribes. Return to the lodge for a hearty dinner and your second night in the wild.
